This luxurious private Riad in Marrakech is the city's best-kept secret! At the point of writing this article, it’s only got 15 reviews on booking.com and even less on AirBnB! With its insta-worthy aesthetic, this beautiful hidden gem in Marrakech is likely to go viral and probably, very soon. So, while it’s still reasonably priced and relatively undiscovered, you NEED to book a stay here. I’m sure you are wondering what the name of Marrakech’s most perfect riad is... well let me introduce Le Petit Kenzara & Magical Rooftop

We stayed at this beautiful accommodation in Marrakech for three nights before hopping in our rental car to drive through Morocco. It was a wonderful introduction to the country, not only because the property was downright beautiful, but also because the whole time we stayed there we were treated like royalty. They arranged a complimentary pick-up service from the Marrakech Menara Airport to just outside the Medina, where our personal assistant, Mohammed, met us to kindly walk us through the streets to the accommodation. Then, there was a private chef included who cooked us a wonderful breakfast every morning, and served it up on the rooftop. When I say this place was enchanting, I mean it! The next time I visit Marrakech, I won’t hesitate to rest my head again at Le Petit Kenzara.

This post is all about the best Private Riad in Marrakech.

Little did we know when we arrived at Marrakech Menara Airport at 7 pm that it would take us two hours to get through security, which is apparently very normal! I half expected the driver, who was waiting to pick us up, to have left but when we eventually got out of the airport, they were still there standing waiting for us, which was a very pleasant surprise.

We were driven through the bustling streets in our own private car to Bab Ksiba, where our lovely personal assistant, Mohammed, was waiting to walk us to our accommodation. He gave us a tour of the property, and then let us know that if we had any questions or queries, we could simply send him a message on WhatsApp and he would swiftly respond. What I really appreciated about staying here was that Mohammed didn’t force us to book activities through him or spend money - this wasn’t always the case in other places that I stayed in Morocco! He said that he had fully stocked the fridge and there were coffee pods, both of which cost extra, but he only suggested that they were there if we wanted them.

When he left, I was a little bit apprehensive about staying in a private riad in Marrakech. However, Le Petit Kenzara is tucked away in the Kasbah area of Marrakech: the best neighbourhood for sightseeing. Being around a 20-minute walk away from the main square, Jemaa el-Fnaa, Le Petit Kenzara offers some respite from the city’s chaotic nature. The whole time we stayed there, I felt incredibly safe and it felt like a very authentic, family-friendly neighbourhood. It’s the perfect oasis, away from the hustle and bustle.

Every inch of the accommodation has been perfectly decorated, from the kitchen which is filled with Smeg appliances to the aesthetically pleasing rooftop, which in my opinion is the main highlight of the accommodation. My only complaint about the design is the artwork, which was a little quirky and spooky for my taste.

I spent my time in the accommodation mainly up on the rooftop, lounging on the comfy seats to soaking in the huge tub. We were treated to a delicious breakfast spread on the rooftop every morning and at the end of every day when we returned from sightseeing, the accommodation was tidy and clean.  I was so grateful to be able to stay in this stunning accommodation. Every member of staff was incredibly kind and made our time in Marrakech so special!

How Much Did I Pay to Stay at Le Petit Kenzara & Magical Rooftop?

We stayed in Le Petit Kenzara right in the middle of the peak summer season, from the 15th of July to the 18th of July. To stay 3 nights at Le Petit Kenzara cost us £386 and then city tax was an extra £13, which brought the grand total of our stay to £399. I thought this was a really great price for having our own Private Riad in Marrakech and all the extras that were included in our stay.
