Situated in the Botanic Gardens in Glasgow's west-end, GlasGLOW is an immersive story-telling experience. The theme for this year is Ghostbusters.

The route around GlasGLOW takes 60-minute but bear-in-mind, it might take longer if you want to stop to toast marshmallows, grab some food at the food trucks or have a drink at the bar.

Since, GlasGLOW is entirely outside, you'll need to wrap up warm as Glasgow starts to get chilly around this time of year.

Kelburn Castle and Estate is located 50 minutes from Glasgow. Every year at Halloween, it hosts an immersive horror experience, which takes you wondering through its eerie forest.

This years event is called 'Asylum' and runs from Thursday 12th October to Tuesday 31st October. As the sun sets, you will embark on a spooky 1-hour adventure through the woods and with every step, you'll unravel more of the chilling tale.

Sloan's is the oldest bar and restaurant in Glasgow. You'll find it hidden away down a lane just off Buchanan Street and Argyle Street in the city centre.

Every Tuesday night, Sloans hosts an 'Eat Film' event. As part of this event, you'll get to watch a movie in their grand ballroom, eat their legendary macaroni and cheese (or a chilli cheese dog or nachos), have a drink and eat some popcorn.

'Eat Film' happens year round, but at Halloween, the movies tend to sway towards the spooky kind. The Halloween films they are showing this year are Gremlins, The Strangers, Scary Movie, The Ring and Friday the 13th.

7. Get Accusative At Witch One Dunnit! Halloween Murder Mystery

ARTA is a mediterranean restaurant, situated on Albion Street in Glasgow's Merchant city and this year, it is throwing a 'Witch One Dunnit! Halloween Murder Mystery' party. What better way to celebrate spooky season than a murder mystery!

It takes place on Friday 27th October and included in your ticket is cava on arrival, a 3-course meal and an interactive murder mystery show, followed by an afterparty until 3am.

8. Dance Into The Wee Hours At The Festival Of The Dead

The Festival Of The Dead has been around for a good couple of years and proves to be very popular every year with tickets selling out quickly. This event, which you will not want to miss, takes place at the O2 Academy in Glasgow's Southside on Friday 27th October.

At the Festival of the Dead, you can expect circus performances, carnival processions, giant creatures, incredible scenery, and live music. You'll never have experienced a night out quite like this one.

9. Enjoy An Afternoon At The Boogie Brunch Halloween Feat Stevie Lennon

The Boogie Brunch is exactly what it sounds like. It's Glasgow's biggest party brunch and includes a 2-course lunch, welcome drink and a little boogie to the best 90's tunes, served up by Stevie Lennon.

They return with a Halloween addition of the popular event at Radisson RED in Glasgow's Finnieston on Saturday 28th October, and they have prizes for the best costume!

Unlock your artistic side at a Halloween Painting Art Party. The event is hosted at Broadcast on Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street on Saturday 28th October from 2-4pm.

At this event, you'll carve and paint your own pumpkin, all whilst being guided by a professional artist. Relive the classics from the legendary King of Pop, Michael Jackson, at the Classic Grand, next to Glasgow Central station on Saturday 28th October, from 6.30-10pm.

12. Pick Up Some Spooky Supplies At The Witch Market Glasgow

Grab some Halloween themed cocktails and wonder around the Witch Market at Katie's bar in the city centre on either Sunday 1st October or Sunday 29th October, from 12-5pm.

You'll find candles, incense, crystals, ritual baths, books, mystery boxes, curiosities, herbs, magical oils and more at this market.

13. Raise Money For Charity And Push Yourself Out Of Your Comfort Zone At A Halloween Firewalk

Get an adrenaline rush and test your limits by walking over hot coals, all in the name of charity. To take part, you will need to pay £35 and raise a minimum of £150, which goes towards Epilepsy Scotland.

You will get all the training required before you take part, so you can rest assured that you will be prepared for when the time comes. The firewalk event takes place on Sunday 29th October at Epilepsy Scotland HQ on Govan Road in Glasgow's south side.

14. Watch A Live Tribute Performance Of The Cult Classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show

The UK's leading live action tribute to the Rocky Horror Picture Show comes to 18 Candleriggs in the merchant city of Glasgow, this year for a Halloween Special. This interactive theatre experience will be jam packed with stunning costumes, all the classic hit songs and characters from the original show.

You can also expect themed cocktails, cast meet and greet, and an exclusive after-party. Audience participation and Halloween costumes is encouraged.

15. Rock Out At Steve Steinman’s Vampires Rock: Featuring The Day of the Dead Rock Orchestra

The country's most successful classic rock musical concert, Vampires Rock featuring the Symphonic Rock Orchestra, comes to the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall in the city centre on Sunday 30th October.

You can expect to hear some of the greatest rock songs of all time from Metallica, AC/DC, Meatloaf, Queen, Guns 'N' Roses and more. All of which are performed by some of the best rock voices in the country, a live orchestra and dancers.

Club Tropicana & Venga, next to Glasgow Central station, is hosting a Halloween Nightmare event on Monday 30th October, from 10pm till 3am.

The club will be transformed to tie in with the spooky season, with impressive decor, walk-around circus performers, a live freak show and DJ's playing tunes that will have you dancing all night long.

17. Survive The #1 Biggest and Scariest Halloween Tour At Halloween Purge Glasgow 2023

Manuka is a nightclub located on Bath Street in Glasgow city centre. On the 30th October from 10pm-3am, it is the venue for the Halloween Purge Glasgow 2023.

Manuka will get an overhaul of Halloween decor, impressive purge visuals, lighting and sound effects. You can be sure to expect chaos at this event with scary interactive walkabout acts.

18. Party Like There's No Tomorrow At Bongo's Bingo Glasgow Presents Southern Comfort's So Tasteful Halloween

Don your scariest costume, and head down to SWG3 in Glasgow's west end for the Bongo's Bingo Halloween Event. This event takes place on actual Halloween, Tuesday 31st October, and I can't think of a more memorable way to celebrate it!

Bongo's Bingo makes for a fantastic night out, combining both bingo and a rave with cheesy singalongs, dance-offs, great prizes and money to be won. It's guaranteed to be a good night out.

19. Laugh Your Head Off At 'Doing The Dead' Theatre Performance

The multi award-winning Northern Comedy Theatre bring their new dark comedy show, Doing The Dead, to Websters Playhouse in Glasgow's West End on Tuesday 31st October.

This theatre performance tells the tale of the living connecting with the dead or in other words, annoying the hell out of their loved ones who have passed. When a celebrity spiritualist shows up in the form of Steven Arnold, who played Ashley Peacock for over 15 years on Coronation Street, things start to take a weird turn.
