Aberdeen Art Gallery is hosting two 'Spooktacular Accessories' Creative Workshops on Wednesday 18th October from either 10.30am-12.30pm or 1.30-3.30pm.

5. Laugh Your Head Off At 'The Ghosting Of Rabbie Burns'

At the Tivoli Theatre in Aberdeen City Centre on Wednesday 18th October comes a critically-acclaimed comedy drama called 'The Ghosting Of Rabbies Burns' by Gillian Duffy.

The performance is based on the famous Scottish poet, Robert Burns, and his advice on love, dating, break-ups, and most importantly, ghosting.

7. Follow Up 'Horror Con Scotland' With An After Party

There's also a Horror Con Scotland After Party taking place on the same night as the Horror Con Scotland experience on Saturday 21st October.

The after party takes place at the tunnels in Aberdeen City Centre from 7-10pm. Splintered Halo, a Theoretical Character Metal band from Glasgow, is playing at the after party, followed by a DJ. Get your tickets here.

8. Get All Your Witchy Goods At The 'Nocturne Market III'

The Nocturne Market III is taking place at Pittodrie Stadium on Friday 27th October from 5.30-11.30pm.

The market showcases items, which sway towards the darker side of life including spell craft, tarot card readings and otherworldly pieces. There's also a social sit-down area, a bar for drinks and pizza stall for when you get a bit peckish.

9. Get In The Halloween Spirit At The 'Northern Frights Halloween Festival'

On Friday 27th October, the Northern Frights Halloween Festival comes to Aden Country Park from 5-11pm. Aden Country Park is a 40-minute drive from Aberdeen City Centre.

Prepare for a night of fire performers, stilt walkers, dance performances, magicians, a haunted outdoor trail, a haunted farming museum, and delicious food stalls.

10. Go On A Ghost Tour Of The Haunted Fyvie Castle

Fyvie Castle is located 45-minutes from Aberdeen City Centre and has a turbulent history involving a curse, a murder and several ghosts. It has even been featured in the TV series 'Most Haunted'.

This 1-hour ghost tour of Fyvie Castle will take place on Friday 27th, Saturday 28th, Sunday 29th and 31st October.

The castle has a very eerie feel, so it's the perfect place for a ghost tour and it's made even spookier by the fact that the tour takes place at night, when the sun has set.

On the tour, you'll be guided through the castle's creepy corridors, and hear the terrifying tales of one of Scotland's most haunted buildings.

11. Hear Unexplainable Tales Of 'The Ghosts Of Crathes'

Crathes Castle, only 30-minutes from Aberdeen City Centre, was recently voted one of the spookiest places in the world by experts from NetVoucherCodes. The castle is said to be home to two lady ghosts. The most well reported being a green lady ghost, which was even sighted by Queen Victoria herself!

For this Halloween, you can go on a guided evening tour around Crathes Castle. The tour will last about 45 minutes to one hour and along the way, your guide will tell you tales of the Crathes ghosts as you wonder down the castle's dark halls.

At Village Aberdeen on Saturday 28th October, you can expect a fabulous night of retro disco tunes from their resident DJ.

The Thainstone Centre in Inverurie, only 25-minutes from Aberdeen city centre, is hosting a Bingo Loco Halloween Special event on the Saturday 28th October, from 6.30-11pm.

14. Get Spooked On The 'House Of Dun Halloween Trail'

On Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October from 11am-3pm, the House of Dun, about 50-minutes from Aberdeen City Centre, is hosting their own Halloween Trail.

To start their Halloween Trail, you'll collect a trail sheet and make your way through their spooky woodland forest, answering questions along the way. Once finished, you'll return to the Courtyard to claim your prize.

15. Hear Haunted Tales On A Guided Tour Of The 'House Of Dun'

House of Dun is a stunning Georgian manor surrounded by beautiful gardens and woodlands. However, don't let that fool you, it does have a rather dark history, one involving murder. It's said to be home to a resident ghost, the Headless Horseman, who roams the grounds at night seeking revenge.

For this Halloween as the sun starts setting and the evening approaches, you can go on a spooky 1-hour tour of the House of Dun. The tour takes place on Monday 30th October and starts at 5.30pm.

You'll be directed through the House of Dun by a knowledgeable guide, who will tell you terrifying tales of the haunted estate.

16. Don Your Spookiest Costume For A Night Of Dancing At 'The Halloween Nightmare'

AURA Nightclub, just off Union Street in Aberdeen's city centre, is hosting a Halloween Nightmare event on Monday 30th October, from 10pm till 3am.

It claims to be the UK's Scariest Halloween Experience, with them hosting the same sell-out event in various cities all over the UK.

The club will be fully decked out in Halloween decor and will even feature walk-around Festival Of The Dead circus performers. You can also expect a live freak stage show, a midnight giant confetti balloon drop and spooky music, which will take you dancing all the way to 3am.

17. Discover Some Ghastly Creatures Lurking In 'The Haunted Mansion'

Jubilee Hall, 15-minutes drive from Aberdeen City Centre, is holding its own 'haunted mansion' for this Halloween. The event takes place on Tuesday 31st October from 5-9pm.
