Summer is starting to come to an end, so it's time to turn our attention to spooky season.On the run up to the 31st October, the many venues in and around Glasgow put on a wide range of fun events to get you and your whole family in the Halloween spirit. You can expect Halloween Festivals, to Spooky Arts and Crafts, Pumpkin Picking and more.Whether your family consists of babies, toddlers, children, teenagers, or even, dogs, there is something on this list for everyone. 1. Ride The Park After Dark At M&D's, 'Darktober'
M&D's is Scotland's biggest theme park and is located in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire.
For a couple of dates at the end of September and in October, M&D's are running an event called 'Darktober', where you and your family will be able ride a selection of the outdoor rides as many times as you want after dark.
For the majority of rides, your children will need to have a height of at least 1.2m.

2. Spot Halloween Items Along The Trails At The 'Halloween Ghoul Hunt'
Go on a Halloween Ghoul Hunt at the RSPB Lochwinnoch Nature Reserve from Sunday 1st October to Friday 27th October. RSPB Lochwinnoch Nature Reserve is located in Renfrewshire, about 30 minutes from Glasgow by car.
Walk the trails in the park and see if you can spot any of the Halloween themed items along the way.
To take part, you'll need to buy an activity pack, which has a scavenger hunt spotting guide and other fun challenges. Once you've spotted them all, pop back to the visitor centre to collect your reward.
On Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October, they also have a Halloween Pumpkin Hunt event. It's similar to the Ghoul Hunt but you will be spotting spooky pumpkins along the trails.
3. Pick Your Perfect Pumpkin At A Local Pumpkin Patch

4. Go Thrill-Seeking At 'Spooktacular'
The super popular Halloween 'Spooktacular' event returns to Silverburn Shopping Centre from Friday 6th October through to Sunday 29th October. Silverburn is only 20 minutes south of Glasgow city centre by car.
You can choose from an afternoon session between 12-4pm or an evening session between 5-9pm.
A ticket for this event will get you 4 hours of unlimited access to all rides and a spooky silent disco. The fairground has a ride for everyone, including family rides and children under 1.2 metres. A fabulous and fun night out for the whole family!
This event does tend to sell out, so I'd suggest you book your tickets in advance as there is no guarantee to get them on the day.
5. Get Your Best Detective Skills On For 'Witchcraft & Wizardry: Glasgow'
On Saturday 7th October, gather your team of up to 6 adults (kids join as extras for free) for an outdoor escape game around Glasgow with 'Witchcraft & Wizardry: Murder by Magic!'.
The game takes between 2-3 hours and will have you exploring Glasgow like never before, whilst you hunt for clues and solve puzzles. You can start anytime between 9am-2pm, but you must complete it by 5pm.
All you need to take part is a ticket for your team of detectives, your smartphone, and if you wanted to go a step further, your best Halloween costumes. If you've got all that, then you are ready to embark on this unique adventure.
6. Get Creative At The 'Spooky Ceramics: Halloween Lanterns'
For this Halloween, House For An Art Lover in Glasgow's Bellahousten Park is hosting two seasonal arts and crafts classes. In these classes, you will make a spooky Halloween tea-light lantern using clay, which you will then glaze and add colour too.
The first art and crafts class is for adults and children between 4-8 years old. It will take place over two sessions on Saturday 7th October and Saturday 14th October, between 1.30-3.30pm. You can get tickets for this event here.
The second art and crafts class is for children aged between 8-12 years old. This event will take place over two sessions on Saturday 7th October and Saturday 14th October, between 10.30am-12.30pm. You can get tickets for this event here.

7. Get In The Halloween Spirit At 'Family Frights'
On Monday 16th October from 10am-1pm, Crow Wood Golf Club is hosting a Spooktacular Halloween with a Family Frights event. Crow Wood Golf Club is located in Glasgow's East End, only 15 minutes from the city centre.
It will have everything from decorating cakes, and pumpkins, learning magic tricks, to meeting Dracula.

8. Bring Your Pooch Along To 'Party Like A Cockapoo'
Pets count as family too so dress up your doodle, poodle or cockapoo for a Halloween Themed Party at Dog Days Glasgow on Saturday 21st October at 9.15am. Dog Days Glasgow is located 15 minutes from the city centre in Glasgow's West End.
You can expect 60 minutes of off the lead play time in their huge indoor area. As well as trick or treat on entry, lots of spooky photo opportunities, games, unlimited puppacino and treats for your dog and prizes for "Most Boo-tiful", "Creepiest Canine" and "Cutest Creature".
As the owner, you will get tea or coffee, to meet other doodle owners and be able to shop at local dog businesses selling treats, accessories and more. Plus, you only need to pay for a ticket for your dog as owners go free. Get them here.
9. Expect All The Classics At 'Artie's Singing Kettle Halloween Singalong'
The Singing Kettle are a Scottish entertainment group, who perform traditional children's songs and live theatre performances. If you've grew up in Scotland, then there is good chance that you've already heard of them.
This year, they are having a Halloween special of the Singing Kettle at Eastwood Park Theatre on Sunday 22nd October. Eastwood Park Theatre is in Glasgow's Southside, only 20 minutes by car from the city centre.
You can expect all the Singing Kettle classics, including 'Shove Yer Granny Off the Bus' and 'Bunny Fou Fou'. Sure to have the whole audience singing along!

10. Be Entertained At The Award-Winning 'Paisley Halloween Festival'
Scheduled to take place between Thursday 26th October to Saturday 28th October is the award-winning Paisley Halloween Festival. It is actually recognised by VisitScotland as one of the best free family festivals in the UK.
They haven't released any information about this year's festival but you can expect live performances and spooky shenanigans. Make sure to stay tuned as updates will be released soon on this website.
11. See What's Lurking In The Shadows At The 'Auld Hallows Eve'
For this Halloween, Whitelee Windfarm Visitor Centre is hosting an 'Auld Hallows Eve' event on the 27th October from 6.30-8.30pm. Whitelee Windarm is a 30-minute drive from the city centre of Glasgow.
As part of this event, you and your family will take part in spooky games and take a walk through the UK's largest onshore wind farm. However, since it's a Halloween event, you might find there is things lurking in the shadows. Don't worry, it shouldn't be too scary as it is suitable for the whole family.
You don't need to book tickets for this event as you can just drop-in. They do recommend that you bring your waterproofs as the weather can be quite temperamental at this time of year.
12. Be Amazed At 'GlasGLOW'
Situated in the Botanic Gardens in Glasgow's west-end, GlasGLOW is an immersive story-telling experience. The theme for this year is Ghostbusters and it takes place from the Friday 27th October through to Sunday 5th November.
The route around GlasGLOW takes 60-minute but bear-in-mind, it might take longer if you want to stop to toast marshmallows, grab some food at the food trucks or have a drink at the bar. All ages are welcome to attend, with other 3's going free!
Since, GlasGLOW is entirely outside, you'll need to wrap up warm as Glasgow starts to get chilly around this time of year.

13. Be Captivated At The 'Children's Classic Concerts: Myths and Monsters'
The Children's Classic Concert presents their new show, 'Myths and Monsters', at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Saturday 28th October at 1.30pm. Glasgow Royal Concert Hall is right at the top of Glasgow's main street; Buchanan Street.
A fabulous performance, which brings together orchestral music, on-stage escapades and magical creatures. Sure to keep the whole family entertained!

14. Dance With Your Little Ones At The 'Halloween Baby Disco'
If you are looking for an event for younger children between birth and 5 years old, then the Halloween Baby Disco will be perfect for you and your little ones.
The event takes place at Lanark Memorial Hall, which is a 40-minute drive from Glasgow's city centre, on Saturday 28th October from 2-3pm.
You can expect the hour to be jam packed with Halloween themed songs, which will have you and little ones dancing the whole time. There's even a prize for the best Halloween costume!

15. Attend A Fun Family Workshop At 'Lost Map X Prah Hallowe’en all Dayer'
Platform is an events venue, right in the heart of the city centre. On Saturday 28th October from 2pm to late, they are hosting an all day 'Lost Map' party with two of Britain's most innovative record labels.
Expect a day filled with live music, delicious food and drink and even, a Halloween family workshop. The family-friendly workshop take place between 1-2pm before the 'Lost Map' event, it's a free drop-in and all ages are welcome. Fancy dress is encouraged!

16. Get Your Best Costume On For 'Hoopy Halloween'
Hoopy The Huddle Hound is throwing his annual Halloween spectacular on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October from 12-3pm.
Grab your spookiest Halloween costumes and head down to the Kerrydale suite at Celtic Park in Glasgow's East End for a family-friendly afternoon of themed food, fun entertainment, games, competitions and more.

17. Release Your Little Animals At 'Go Wild Glasgow Soft Play Sessions'
Go Wild Glasgow Soft Play Sessions is located next to Glasgow Green in the city centre and this year, they are running two Halloween Themed sessions.
The first event, which takes place on Saturday 28th October includes a meet and greet with the Sanderson Sisters and the second event, which takes place on Sunday 29th October includes a meet and greet with Wednesday Adams and Enid.
Tickets also include 2 hours of soft play, a kids meal, stage entertainment, dancing, a bubble party, Halloween activities and a Halloween goody bag. There are also prizes for best dressed costumes.

19. Pick Your Perfect Event At 'Wee Tait Halloween Parties'
Wee Tait is an events and entertainment company in the southside of Glasgow, only 15 minutes from the city centre by car. This October, it is hosting three Halloween events including Mini Halloween, Halloween Non Rave and Wee Tait Monster Brekkie.
The Mini Halloween event will take place on Sunday 29th October from 12-2pm and is for your littlest ones between the ages of 0-5. The party will have a soft play and a bouncy castle.
The Halloween Non Rave is a glow-in-the-dark party, which takes place on Sunday 29th October from 4-6pm.
The Wee Tait Monster Brekkie takes place on Monday 30th October from 10-11am. Expect a spooky-themed breakfast with music and games.

On Sunday 29th October from 2.30-4pm, Wish Upon A Star Entertainment is hosting 'Wish's Not So Scary Halloween Party'. As the name suggests, it's less spooky and more party.

21. Listen To Terrifying Tales At The 'All Hallows Eve Creepy Campfire'
Taking place on the 31st October from 6-8pm is the 'All Hallows Eve Creepy Campfire' at Dams to Darnley Country Park in East Renfrewshire, only 20 minutes drive from Glasgow's city centre.
You can expect a night of scary stories, chilling games, frightful characters and other spooky antics, all whilst sitting around the campfire in the country park.
There are even prizes for the best fancy dress, best scary story, and best guising joke.
